Cupping techniques
What are cupping glass techniques?
The cupping glass techniques are applied with plastic or glass cups using a mechanical absorption method or with a special glass cup by drawing tissue into the cup, which is placed on the respective area by creating a partial vacuum by heating the air in the cup. Cupping cups enhance the results of muscular massage; they cause strong hyperemia, attraction and removal of inflammation and toxins, accelerating the treatment, especially in cases of muscular stiffness, colds, muscular diseases and aesthetic problems.
Cupping glass techniques have been used since ancient times by many peoples, including Egyptians, Chinese and Indians. According to ancient texts, Hippocrates and Galen knew the benefits of cupping glass techniques. Hippocrates created a therapeutic system based on the idea of balancing bodily fluids by resting on the body a specially formed horn (today's cupping glass), in which he created a vacuum either by fire or by suction with the mouth, to detoxify the body locally or to restore the circulation of body fluids. On the other hand, Galen believed that every disease develops in the blood, so he used cupping glasses to remove the harmful disease agent from the blood, thus trying to restore the body's balance and health.
